At the exhibition over 500 different photographs and postcards from private collections are shown, through which you can trace the tourist history and culture that significantly determined the cultural and tourist landscape of Dubrovnik County in the 20 century.
The aim is to show tourism with a human face and the way in which it has improved and determined the life of the local community and its everyday life, with photos from the private collection of Carmen and Doris Šarlić attracting special attention. Thank you to the Šarlić family, as well as to numerous other lenders, without whose help this exhibition could not have been realized.
In addition to postcards and valuable photographic materials that capture the spirit of a time, fashion, way of dealing and leisure, life-long friendships between hosts and tourists, a part of objects related to the beach and travel, as well as materials related to propaganda and promotion of private guesthouses, villas, hotels and resorts in the area of Župa. The photographic materials are the work of amateur photographer Nino Šarlić and other professional or amateur photographers.
