The collection contains oriental weapons, jewellery and vessels. Weaponry, as well as a use, also had an aesthetic function, and was worn as a decoration with men’s traditional attire in the Dubrovnik area, in Konavle, Župa Dubrovačka and Dubrovačko Primorje, as well as in the wider region. Shown in the permanent display are examples of long gun, džeferdar, pistol, or kubura, and handžar and jatagan or knife.
Also in the collection are oriental objects of tinned sheet copper, jugs and other vessels, sahani and sinije, donated during the Exhibition of “National Arts of Yugoslavia", 1954.
Decorative belt buckles, pafte, of silver with inserts of semiprecious stones, ritual objects – hamajlije, or amulets, as well as silver jewellery, earrings, silver belts and headdresses, tepeluci, make fine and valuable examples of eastern decorations.
