A particular place is reserved for the rectors togas, and, especially if we take into consideration the rarity of historical textiles from that era, they are an exceptional example of this kind of apparel in Croatia.

The textiles presented at the exhibition Togas, damask and power – Historical Textiles and the Official Robes of the Dubrovnik Republic from the Holdings of the Cultural History Museum od Dubrovnik Museums tell not only of the fashion of former periods, the high quality and preciousness of the fabrics, the welth of motifs and the skill of the weavers, but also give a clear and identifiable depiction of the ruling patrician elite of the Dubrovnik Republic.
