Right to Access to Information and to Reuse of Information

Article 3 of the Law on the Right to Access to Information (Official Gazette, no. 25/13, 85/15) regulates the right of natural and legal persons to access to information via the openness and publicness of activity of bodies of government

The right to access to information and the reuse of information covers the right of users to seek and obtain information as well as the obligation of bodies of government to enable the access to the sought information, that is, to publish information independently of an application made when such publication derives from the obligation set by the law or other regulation.

The right to access to information and reuse of information is regulated and exercised in accord with the Law on the Right to Access to Information (Official Gazette, no. 25/13, 85/15). The law prescribes the principles of the right to access to information and reuse of information, restrictions on the right to access to information and reuse of information, the procedure for exercising and protecting the right to access to information and the reuse of information.

Information officer

The Public Institution Dubrovnik Museums informs the public via its official Web page by the documents and information it possesses and that are publically accessible in electronic form and can be accessed without the sending of any separate application, while access to all other information and documents can be exercised by submitting an oral or written application.

The right to access to information and the reuse of information is exercised by submitting an application to the information officer of the Public Institution Dubrovnik Museums in the following ways:

1. via telephone at the number: +385(0)20 321 497

3. via email to the information officer: katija.banac@dumus.hr on the form Application for access to information / Application for supplementation or correction of information / Application for reuse of information;

4. by post to the address: Dubrovački muzeji, Pred dvorom 3, 20000 Dubrovnik, Croatia on the form Application for access to information / Application for supplementation or correction of information / Application for reuse of information;

5. in person at the address Dubrovački muzeji, Pred dvorom 3, 20000 Dubrovnik, from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 12 noon.

Fee for access to information

The Public Institution Dubrovnik Museums has the right to charge for the real material costs that are incurred in providing information to a user of the right to access to information and reuse of information, as well as to charge for costs incurred in delivering the sought information, which are charged in line with the Criterion for the Determination of the Amount of a Fee for Real Material Costs and Costs of Delivering Information (below: the Criterion) pursuant to Article 19 Paragraph 2 of the Law on the Right to Access to Information (Official Gazette, no 25/13, 85/15).

The rate of the charge for the real material costs according to the Criterion is set in the following amounts:

1. copy of one A4 sheet – 0.25 kuna

2. copy of one A3 sheet – 0.50 kuna

3. colour copy of one A4 sheet – 1.00 kuna

4. colour copy of one A3 sheet – 1.60 kuna

5. electronic file on a CD – 4.00 kuna

6. electronic file on a DVD – 6.00 kuna

7. electronic file on a memory card depending on the memory size – 210 kuna for 64 GB, 150 kuna for 32 GB, 120 kuna for 16 GB, 30 kuna for 4 GB.

8. converting one side of a document from physical to electronic form – 0.80 kuna

9. converting a file from a video or audio tape or diskette to an electronic file – 1.00 kuna

Costs for the delivery of the information are calculated according to the currently pertaining price list of regular postal services.

NOTE:

The rate of the charge for the real material costs for services not specified in the Criterion will be set by a body of public authority by counting into the rate of the charge the average market price for the service, the costs of depreciation that the body of public authority has and the cost of postal services. The costs of delivery of information are calculated according to the currently pertaining price list of postal services. The user of the right to information has to deposit the expected amount of real material costs in advance. If the user of the right to information does not deposit the said amount in time, the user of the right to information will be considered to have withdrawn the application. The Public Institution Dubrovnik Museums will issue a user of the right to information an invoice according to the rate of the charge set in the Criterion. The Public Institution Dubrovnik Museums can charge a user for the reuse of information according to Article 32 Paragraph 2 of the Law of the Right to Access to Information (Official Gazette no. 25/13, 85/15) in accordance with objective, clear and verifiable criteria for the calculation of the costs of the reuse of information. Costs are calculated in according with accounting regulations that are applied to the given bodies of public authority.
