This exhibition is a joint venture of museum professionals and the Association of Croatian Volunteers of the 3rd Battalion of the 4th Brigade of the Corps of the National Guard – the Imotski Hawks, the Association of Croatian Defenders of the Homeland War of the 115th Imotski Brigade of the Croatian Army, Croatian Disabled Veterans of the Homeland War of Imotski, the Association of Parents of Fallen Defenders of the Homeland War of Imotski, the Association of Parents of Fallen Defenders of the Homeland War of Dubrovnik and the Local History Association of Imotski People in Dubrovnik.

During two years of collaboration, the Museum has with the material collected considerably enriched its collections, and through study of them has arrived at new understandings and previously unconfirmed historical facts. Thus alongside the already known heroism of the legendary 3rd Imotski Battalion of the 4th Brigade of the Corps of the National Guard and its crucial role in lifting the siege of the city, there is more extensive treatment of the participation of the 115th Imotski Brigade of the CA in the defence and liberation of the south of Croatia.

Exhibition devised and set-up and exhibition lay-out designed by: Varina Jurica Turk and Mišo Đuraš

The exhibition has been produced with the financial support of the Dubrovačko-neretvanska County

The catalogue is available in the museum shop of Dubrovnik Museums
