A smaller part of the collection was accessioned by purchase for the Maritime Museum; in its entirety, the collection consists of 83 objects and their cases. It contains pocket chronometers, medals and decorations that cover the period from the 17th to the 20th century. Particularly valuable specimens in the collection are gold medals, pocket watches and chronometers.
The permanent display shows four decorations from the 19th century.
