The collection consists of sets of traditional attire, parts of such wear, head coverings, jewellery and fragments of needlework from Croatia. On the whole they derive from Baranya, Slavonia, Moslavina, the Sava valley, around Karlovac and northern Dalmatia, mostly also from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

The collection was created from donations by the Women's National Association, the teacher Jelka Miš and the Commission for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries in the former Yugoslavia.
