Other exhibitions

The exhibition has been produced in association with the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb.

This exhibition shows some fifty or so Roman gold earrings made between the 1st and the 4th century, among which there are some luxury examples ornamented with pearls, precious stones and glass paste. Most of them are accidental finds from well known ancient sites such as Siscia (Sisak), Salona (Solin) Sirmium (Sremska Mitrovica) and Viminacium.

They are typologically very diverse, from those with simple shapes to superlative works of the fine crafts, done with various techniques, including casting, wire drawing and twisting, perforation, filigree work and granulation

Exhibition created by Dora Kušan Špalj and Nikoleta Perok
Curated for Dubrovnik Musuems by Ivona Michl
